Challenge Yourself

This will be a quick inspiration blurb for all you readers out there. I want you to challenge yourself

Pick something and challenge it.

When you find that what challenges or scares you and you face it head on you will find that you become happier, stronger and wiser. I know that sounds cliche but it is true. Everything that takes you away from your comfort zone allows for self growth.

Where to start?
  • Find what challenges you want to overcome!
  • Make a list if theres more than one
  • Set a deadline for your accomplishment
  • Don't be afraid of the outcome or what others think
  • Let go of all apprehensions

Once you've found what you want to accomplish and you've created a plan go for it. You will struggle, and it won't be easy but its worth it. Worth every minute, every thought and every emotion put into what you are seeking out to do.

Undecided on where to start? Start small, here are some of my favourites that I consistently have on my list.

Becoming a better person
In all aspects of the word. One small good deed could change the way you feel and how you view your day. Even letting someone go before you at the grocery store because they have more items can change your perspective. Start the day off thinking positive and positive actions will be returned

Step outside my comfort zone
This year I am going one step further with my acting, writing and business prospects. I have decided to put my acting lessons  to good use. I've done background work in past, but after talking to producers and people within the media industry I have been encouraged to share my work and even do some auditions. That said some exciting new adventures are coming my way. First stop California for an audition for a comedy school. I am well aware chances of getting in are slim ( not doubting myself, however with tons of auditions by people who have been doing this their whole lives - they will be the ones getting a better opportunity) I'm doing it for experience and a chance to say I did it. I am still a bit shy so I'm hoping this will also help break that mould for me.

Try something new

I haven't quite found my something new. I thought it would be going to Coachella in two weeks, however  I travel frequently. I believe I want my something new to be venturing off and doing something on my own while I'm out that way. I will update later if I can find something new.

Most importantly love yourself every step of the way
I love you !

Tell me whats up with you! :)

Just.Be.You

Today's generation is all based upon social media. I've said it before - and its true. We are influenced (whether we like it or not) by what we see, what the latest trends are or what other people are doing. We put so much emphasis on others ( like Bruce Jenner) that we forget what really matters to us. Its fine to be who you w a n t to be, who you n e e d to be in order to succeed in life. Normally I wouldn't post about celebrities and their lives, but this time I find it is a topic a lot of people can benefit from ( at least I hope ). There are people who wish to succeed and live a life they desire without the drama of being hounded daily for their ambition and achievements. Those who work hard all their lives, to see that tiny glimpse of success ( or in some, a mountain of success ). In Bruce Jenner's case, I have hopes that he has not decided to pursue coming a woman. Not because I am against the idea, (whatever you choose in life or feel is best for you I support and encourage), I would however, rather see him be him simply for the reason that it will show that media fabricates virtually anything they can to gain a profit without taking into consideration who they hurt in the process. To contradict that thought, if he is becoming a woman, I honestly believe it will help those struggling with their identity to feel more comfortable with themselves. No matter what the outcome is, support and love is needed for all those out there that "don't fit the social norm" (I put quotations as society puts a strain or an unrealistic idea on how we should act or think).

Just.Be.You

You are beautiful, unique, intelligent and wonderful. Don't let anyone steal your sparkle. (yes, YOU). Be who you want to be, who you need to be, or who will make you happy. Nobody will make you happier than you. Continue to shine and most of all don't let other people steal your ability to enjoy life and what you are able to do!

(I apologize if this post is a little everywhere, its 1 am for me and I am exhausted)
Goodnight love bugs!

Whats Your Purpose

Lately What's Your Purpose has been an ongoing phrase between a few friends and I. Someone frustrates you, annoys you, or you ask yourself while working on a task. What's your purpose has so many different angles to it - and no it doesn't have to be a derogatory reference. To us it means What are you doing and is it worth doingIs what you are doing going to make you a better person? Is it going to get you where you want to be? Will the end result be positive negative or will nothing change? Those are the reasons we use it, that is why we say it to everything that blocks us.

Where did that phrase derive from? Too many times I have noticed people coasting through life - you don't have to ride every tidal wave but don't lay on the beach waiting for something exciting to happen either. Make something of yourself and be proud of it.

Recently - I saw a girl doing things that would make her parents embarrassed, What's your purpose lady? Was the end result all that you'd hoped it would be? Most of all did you feel better about yourself for doing it? Work H A R D for what you want - don't let others hand it to you. As we get older we have different views and perspectives that help shape us to become who we are. Take those learning experiences and make something of it. Make yourself a better person tomorrow in ALL aspects. Don't hold grudges, don't dwell on uneasy situations, learn and grow form them.

Point is - when you focus on your goals, and you work toward them with whats your purpose in mind, your successes become an overwhelming feeling of joy and accomplishment.
Don't let others ask what your purpose is, ask yourself first, then SHOW them! Kick them in the butt and go out there and show them. Once you have done that float on down your tidal wave of success.

Stay focused

There are a lot of people in this world who will hate on the things you do. Whether you know them or not, there will always be that one person who is against your adventure and against your success. You may never meet this person or people, or you may be close friends or acquaintances with them. The difference between you and them is that you are going somewhere and you are striving for achievement and success. You have goals, dreams and ambitions whereas they are struggling to stay positive and struggling to stay accomplished. The issue will never be with you, its with themselves.
People who find comfort in a continual pattern to torment and belittle a person have a lack of satisfaction in their own life and well being. They look for entertainment among others.

What I say to you readers is stay hungry, stay focused there will always be that light at the end of the tunnel thrusting you toward success and away from those who will try to bring you down.
Keep a positive mind on what lays ahead of you and know I am proud of you and your accomplishments:)

Everything Happens for a reason

Life works in mysterious ways. Life is ironic, unpredictable, and adventurous. There are many great opportunities that we don't even realize lay in front of our journey.  Often, it takes a life changing experience or moment for us to appreciate the important things in life, or just to enjoy life itself. When the unexpected happen, that is when we begin to re-evaluate aspects of our day to day life.

When life or events go unexpectedly for you, focus on the why. I believe everything in life happens for a reason. One step forward, or backwards takes you ten steps into a direction that brings you to today, tomorrow, and next week.

Consider this.

  • Your friends missed their flight resulting in you arriving at your destination a few hours before them. So you use those hours to visit sights and shows you wouldn't be able to see if they were there. You even have the chance of meeting a special someone at a coffee shop. Someone who could potentially make a lasting impact on your life.
  • You left an interview empty handed. But perhaps the next week, or in a month you find an opening for your dream job. Something you have been searching for that will result in a big achievement.
  • Your car gets written off due to an accident. Yes, accidents happen when you least expect it, and can put a damper on your financial situation. However, the accident itself will make you more aware of your surroundings and to become a more defensive driver. On a more positive note, this could potentially allow you to buy a new car - maybe one you've had your eye on for a while now, but didn't make the purchase for financial, time or other reasons.
  • Someone you meet at an event, or above coffee shop scenario, invites you on a trip, but you work that weekend. Somehow you manage to get the weekend off last minute. Allowing yourself to enjoy experiences you didn't think possible. Perhaps that last minute trip that you took, allowed you to become closer with the person your with resulting in a life long friendship or even perhaps more.
  • Taking a chance on accepting a new job could leave endless opportunities. It could lead to new friendships, relationships, travel opportunities and much more. Each time you take a job opportunity, no matter how big or small, it opens doors to new experiences.
  • Someone you fell in love with, but broke your heart in the end. Doesn't mean the world is coming to an end, or that you will never find another person to be by your side. It simply means that, that one person wasn't meant to be. Those experiences or feelings you want to have with someone is out there, and that person that just ended the relationship will lead you to the next and allow you to build new adventures.

Every step we take in life takes us to our next journey. Whether its a bad experience or a good one, it will still allow us to create a new journey. Growing up there were two common phrases in our home; never go to bed angry, and everything happens for a reason. We tend to focus too much on the negative and less on the positive. When you turn that around to face positive aspects your journey and hurdles seem promising, and you get a sense of accomplishment.

We all work so hard trying to become something, to feel a sense of accomplishment. When a cloud of negativity blocks your sight, its hard to look past the negative. Bad moments are just that - bad moments. It is not a consistent string of bad events, but a bad moment that can be like that cloud of negativity. We must be the sun that breaks through those clouds to appreciate and focus on why things happen, and where it will lead us to next.

As time carries on, so do we. We age with time, and begin to forget to live in the moment with so much surrounding us. We lose focus on living a life when we try to build one. Take those chances. If there is an adventure that lay ahead, I say go for it. There is much beauty to life when we open our eyes to what is around us. Don't lose focus on what is important, what got us here, and where we will be taken.

Hold onto those you Love

Hold onto those you Love

Life is what you make of it. It is absolutely beautiful with all it has to offer and free to absorb. Those who come into it have the ability to shape our lives as well as inspire. They help you along our journey through life. A stranger can make a large impact on your life. In a moment they go from being a stranger to an aquantance and perhaps a lifelong friend. Those around you become a part of you. We all learn and grow together. The impact one has on another persons life can last a lifetime. Sometimes those you have grown up with become a distant friend, nonetheless they are still a friend with a message to say. That person you bullied, the person with an addiction, the homeless man at the end of the street; they all have a story to tell. Embrace their uniqueness, their charisma and hear what they have to say. Their message is just as important as yours.

As we age, we lose touch with those we grew up with.  Never give up the fight to keep them in your life. That doesn't mean you have to speak everyday, but a friendly hello from time to time could put a smile on their face and can potentially have a positive impact their day Those actions create memories, and create friendships. A goodbye could come suddenly, unexpectedly.
The length of time you've spent with someone does not matter, its the moments spent together, the memories made and the laughs shared that matter most. We love with our hearts and open our arms to those around us. A quote I found that helped me when I feel like I am losing someone is  " Never say goodbye, because goodbye means going away and going away means forgetting".

Those who have come into your life, came for a reason; the good, the bad and the hilarious. Doesn't matter what the circumstance are or why they were there, they helped shape you.

"Goodbyes are not forever, Goodbyes are not the end, they simply mean I'll miss you, until we meet again"

I'll miss you, until we meet again
